Let's start with some accommodations. Along the Grand Strand, which spans about 60 miles, you will find a variety of lodging options, everything from hotels, motels, condos, beach cottages, golf villas, bed and breakfasts, to RV resorts. Many of these offers amenities such as pools (indoor, outdoor, and/or kiddie pools), in-room kitchens, Internet access, exercise rooms, and so much more. Best of all you can find packages to fit every budget.
Next, let's move on to some fun! If you enjoy NASCAR, you can visit the NASCAR Speedway. Here you can cruise around age-appropriate tracks in your own racecar, play video games in the arcade or play miniature golf. You can also find kiddie rides and bumper boats here...very exciting for the children!
The Family Kingdom Amusement Park is another great place to visit. There are many fun rides including the giant ferris wheel and the 100-foot Slingshot! Here is where you will also find Myrtle Beach's only oceanfront water park. This is a great way to spend a day!
If you have some time you might want to also check out Ripley's Aquarium, Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Museum, Ripley's Haunted Adventure and Ripley's Movie Theater in 4D! You'll have an awesome time at any or all of these places! Perfect for the adults and the children.
Ok, with all of that fun, are you getting hungry yet? Let's check out some of the best food places in Myrtle Beach. First and foremost you must visit Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede, which is known as Myrtle Beach's most fun place to eat. They offer two different shows to watch, while you eat, that include some audience participation. It's a lot of fun!
Another great place to eat is Planet Hollywood. While you are having your meal you can enjoy the fabulous memorabilia displayed. And don't forget to keep a good eye on the door, you never know who will walk in next!
Next, how about some delicious barbecue? Try Sticky Fingers Ribhouse. They are known for their award winning ribs and wings.
Now is anyone up for some golf? The Myrtle Beach area has about 117 courses! You can play golf where Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and many others have played. Most courses are open to the public and there are even lighted courses for those who would like to play at night.
Now that you've gotten some basic details about your potential trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, when will you be planning your vacation? Once you are there don't forget to stop by the Visitor's Center to pick up some maps. Also you don't want to leave without doing a little bit of shopping! Check out the Coastal Grand Mall, Colonial Mall, Tanger Outlets or one of the many shops you will come across in your travels and bring home some souvenirs!
