A Weekend to Celebrate
Or
NOT !!
July 4th is upon us, our Independence day. Fireworks to light up the night skies, barbeques will be smoking. But, how independent are we now, than our ancestors were.
Two hundred & thirty two years ago our ancestors risked hanging, to write the declaration of independence and declare freedom from tyranny and depression from England's high taxes on imports of needed supplies.
Today, we face the same tyranny from the same pirates and thieves, GOVERNMENT, that does not represent the people but themselves.
Should we risk the same penalties as our ancestors did when they put up life and liberty to give us the freedoms we have enjoyed up until now.
Gas, food and health care are slipping out of reach of a lot of Americans. High gas prices are a threat to shut down rural towns. People who make the least usually live in areas that gas is the highest and have to own cars or trucks that are older and less fuel efficient than those in the inner cities or suburbs.
The stock market is off by $2.1 trillion this year and June was the worst on the market since the depression. A barrel of oil is at $145.00 per barrel now and is likely to hit $200.00 per barrel by years end sending gas prices over the $7.00 per gallon mark.
The housing/real estate market has hit an all time slump. New home construction has virtually stopped completely, sending 1000's out of work. Existing home sales has slowed to almost zero as the market is flooded with 10's of 1000's of newly foreclosed homes of people who could not afford their ARM (Adjustable Rate Mortgage) and home values have dropped almost 21% in some areas.
Unemployment has hit an all-time high as not only all of our construction workers have hit the ranks, but our manufacturing is moving out of country, leaving only low paying fast-food or retail jobs left here, creating a vanishing middle class. Soon to be only rich and poor, just like in old England in the 16th & 17th century ~ Lords & Surfs. Maybe they will be starting up debtors prisons again.
How much more will we have to take? How much more bending over will we have to give, until people grow a backbone? Don't people realize that there are more working and middle class than rich and upper class? The rich and upper class only make up 15% of this nation, we make up the rest. Without us they grind to a stop.
First we need to stop electing politicians like the , Bush's, Cheney's, Clinton's and others who have ties to the Rothchild, Rockefeller and DuPont families or have a third or more of their personal income dependant upon stock with the oil companies.
Next if the politicians won't work for us and do as we say, then we need to grow a backbone and do as our ancestors did some two hundred and thirty two years ago and have ourselves another Boston Tea Party, except this time replace the tea with oil barrels and go on an oil strike for a week or two. They hurt us in our pocketbooks, the only way to effectively hurt them is to hit them in their wallets.
As we sit back to reflect this 4th of July and celebrate, we certainly DO NOT celebrate what our ancestors celebrated, as we now have different tyrants in rule again calling the shots affecting our freedoms and liberties and happiness !!
Something to think about this weekend.
Just one man's opinion. As always, put the wind in your hair and keep the sun to your back. Be good and stay safe. Peace, Love and prosperity to all.
Good Journeys !!!
