A Western Senior Adventure Tour in Montrose, Colorado

Cowboys and Cowgirls Come Join the Fun!

Sandy James

It's time to put on your cowboy hat, boots, and spurs and take an adventure tour with the Montrose Recreation District in Montrose, Colorado. This tour is offered to 50+ participants and will be a historical tour where you'll visit the Museum of the Mountain West and the Montrose County Historical Society Museum.

There'll be lots of activities on this adventure tour as you pay tribute to Western Movie Days. Do you remember "The Virginian?" Well, actor James Drury and other cast members will be on hand for special performances. There'll be music outdoors for the event, staged gun fights, carriage rides, arts, crafts, and food vendors during the tour.

You can bring your own lunch for this adventure tour or you can purchase something from one of the food vendors. Either way, it'll be a fun event for all who attend.

The tour will be on Saturday, June 18th from 9 AM '" 3 PM. Tickets are only $20 and that includes transportation and museum entry fees. Please be at the Senior Center at 8:45 AM.

You can purchase tickets online at www.montroserec.com or call the Montrose Recreation District at 970 249-7705. You can also drop in to administrative office at the Montrose Recreation District's Aquatic Center on 25 Colorado Avenue.
