A Winter Poem: Dance of the Snowflake

I love to see it falling down
On a quiet and crisp winter's day,
Watching it swirl to the ground,
A performer dancing a ballet.
Whiteness as far as my eyes can see
Like a huge covering of pure cotton,
And more is falling loose and free
Like those evil has forgotten.
It whips around the frozen trees
And lands on the window pane,
Reminding me of Summer's bees
Searching for flowers o'er the plain.
