A Winter's Meal of Working Night

Not wishing long to bear a cross

The tale that bears repeating

The time's spent, sands the measured loss

Caring not for what one's eating


'tis winter, dark for tables set

below electric chandelier

The fare is simple, free of flesh yet,

Stout enough to fill each one here


Wishing not for madness yet

Found in these journeys oft repeated

Still seated at a table set, for shame

I have returned defeated


Encased in clear and hardened form

In morbid stature through the storm

    Good one. I see nothing wrong with a fortifying vegetarian meal. However I would much prefer dining by candlelight over the electric chandelier. Its an ambiance thing.
