A Woman of Every Color

April Higney
I am soft blue, as sadness wears my heart,
I am pink as passion fills my soul,
I am green in the softness of nature's realm,
a woman of colors you cannot control.
Neither black nor white,
a bright yellow sun.
A red fire burning anger,
or a blend in the sky full of fun.
I am orange, a wildflower,
dancing in a meadow,
I am brown in earth tones, strong as the hills,
a purple sky with lightning,
every color in every moment that life fills.
I am a woman of many things,
deep in blue waves upon the sea,
and then I am ice,
but if you open your eyes, you will clearly see me.

Love how you use the colors to describe feelings. Excellent!
