A Woman by the Eyes of Her Man

Sometimes These Are Happened

SAIKAT KUMAR DUTTA
(Dear readers, this poem is based on the different injustice attitudes are shown to a lady by a man around the world, though I must say that all men are not equal as well as all ladies are not same, I hope you will understand what does your favourite poet want to say through this poem).

A lady is called Powerful,
When, she saves her man from any crime,
But why a lady is called worthless,
When, she was unable to cook food in correct time !!!

A female is called Polite,
When she avoids to ask her man "Why and How",
But why a female is called heartless,
When she refuses her man requesting him "No dear, not now" !!!

A girl is called sensitive,
When she easily allows her boyfriend's call to propose,
But why a girl is called a call-girl,
When physically or mentally she wants her secretes to disclose !!!

A woman is called soft-spoken,
When her enquiries about her man's affairs is nil,
But why a woman is called boring,
When she asks anything about her man's expenditure bill !!!

A lady is called good friend,
When she talks obeying her man's mood,
But why a lady is called rough,
When due to her illness sometimes she becomes rude.

A female is called active,
When she fills her man's pocket with many dollar,
But why a female is called arrogant,
When for a well justice she holds her man's shirt's collar !!!

A girl is very perfect,
When she allows her boyfriend's polygynous activity,
But why a girl is called a bitch,
When she is ever concerned with any polyandrous reactivity !!!

A woman is called a mother,
When she gives birth of her new baby's life,
But why a woman is called wild,
When to save a human life she uses her kitchen knife !!!

I love to read your poems - they are really great - and you captured the double standard in this one really well.

This is the most openly honest form of creative expression I have read in awhile. There are so many double standards that exist.
