You know there is something there when you sit down with him at seven pm. From time to time, you get up to use the bathroom or to make coffee but the conversation never stops. Before you know it, the sun is coming up. "Wow!" is right. It felt like only a couple of hours went by and here were are going out for breakfast after sitting at your kitchen table until dawn. How cool is that?
The "First" Kiss
Yeah, I know this sounds kind of corny coming from a guy but we remember it too. The first kiss is important to you and your man knows it. Hopefully, he'll choose the perfect time and place and make it even more romantic and memorable.
The "First" Morning After
You wake up in his arms. He's been laying there wide awake for the last ninety minutes. You open your eyes and he's just looking at you with such a romantic look. He's smitten and it shows. Then he asks you if you want him to make you breakfast. That sends you a message that everything is fine. He's not freaked out or uncomfortable. He wants you to stay.
The "First" Time He Introduces You, (not by your name) As Your "Girlfriend"
It's official. I don't care how many times he's said it to you in private. It's not official until he says, "Your name here__________, this is my buddy Bill, Bill, this is my girlfriend, your name here______. Go ahead and smile. It feels good doesn't it.
The "First" Time He Says, "I Love You".
Now don't be afraid to say it first. It's not very often that a guy will say it first and your man is no different. We don't handle not getting the return, "I love you" very well so we don't say it first. It's too risky. But when you are so nervous, scared, and hesitant and you tell him that you love him. He doesn't hesitate, he doesn't stare blankly at you. He says, "I love you too". You breath a sigh of release and passionately embrace and kiss. That's the good stuff!
The "First" Fight And Reconciliation
If you've never had a fight with your man, either he is holding back or you are holding back. A fight once in a while is a good thing. Think of it as maintenance to get the gunk out.
The "First" Time You Go Shopping Together
I'm not talking about departments stores but the first time the two of you go GROCERY shopping together. That's a clear indication of a "partnership". This indeed means something good.
The "First" Time You Go On A Trip Together
This is an important step. It shows that the two of you trust each other enough to go away from your town, your family and your friends so it's just the two of you.
The "First" Time You Accomplish Something Together
This shows that you make a good team. A good team can mean a good husband, a good father and a good lover. The first time you accomplish something together is a monumental step in your relationship.
The "First" Time You Commit To Each Other
I'm talking "long term commitment". You're not just a "Miss, Good for now". The two of you are clearly in the running for being "the one" for each other. It's all smooth sailing from here as far as security and comfort. Enjoy it. You both have earned it. Good luck.
