Valentine's Day Poem
A Woman's True Valentine
Love's splendid day
reminiscent of yesteryear
when the newness of it all,
inspired the young couple
to embrace feelings,
excitement, freshness,
the silkiness of the night.
Pampered with champagne
and chocolate, affection is
disbursed
with a surprise gift box,
which springs open to share
a precious jewel.
A sentiment that a woman beholds,
shiny, sparkly, silver, or gold.
In another room rose petals lay,
dimly lit lava lamp,
foretelling special memories
yet to be,
amorous thoughts,
clasping of hands,
a knowing glance,
shared intimacy,
love to last for eternity.
