A Word Portrait of Four Sisters

Tracie Walker
Annabelle is a red, red rose
Heart-shaped face
Small, straight nose
Petite in stature
Dainty dreamer
Quiet with a sweet demeanor

Nancy, All-American Girl,
Long, blond hair
Exquisite pearl
And rose complexion
Tall and graceful
Vibrant look of intelligent reflection

Miranda, mischief in her eyes, and
In her glance, romance
Snub nose, artistic hands,
Laughing lips
Tossing back her chestnut hair,
Her eyes dance

Serena, small and blond
With large, expressive eyes
Vivacious, fond
Of giggling, of playing,
Bubbly, effervescent
Little dimpled darling

Four sisters form a sweet bouquet
Rose and Pearl
And Mischievous Girl
Little One so full of fun
Blossoming forth, like butterflies
Laughing together as they dance in the sun

This was very nice! Once I get caught up on some of my writing projects, I'll play the Word Portrait Game, too. Thanks for sharing such a brilliant idea.

Tracie, creative concept and such good poetry! Amazing to write about these 4, tie it all together, and never let it become forced. It just flows!

Lovely! This reminds me of an old, old poem called The Children's Hour by Henry W. Longfellow, in which he extols the beauty of his daughters.
