A Worthy Salute to America’s Veterans

We Can Never Thank Them Enough

Lee Hansen

When I think of freedom, my mind and thoughts often turn to the many veterans who have served our country. I am grateful for them and the men and women who currently serve in our armed forces today.

As a result of their efforts we are still living in the land of liberty. Freedom is not something that should be taken for granted. There are never enough plaudits or accolades that can be bestowed upon them. However, we still have the obligation as a nation and individuals to give honor to whom it is due.

The Mid-Continent Library-Platte City Branch in Platte City, MO understands this quite well. As a result a special event is taking place in honor of America's veterans.

WHAT: Veterans Salute

WHEN: Saturday, October 22, 2011

LOCATION: 2702 Prairie View Rd, Platte City, MO 64079
