A Writer's Block Ditty
as if I've nothing left to say.
I wish these doubts would go away
so that I could come out and play.
My mind is full of empty space
when usually it is in a race.
There's nothing there; not a trace
did someone go and push erase?
I really want to write a piece
if nothing more than for release.
Where and when did my thoughts cease;
and my brain power decrease?
Someone help me, hear my plea
and lend an open hand to me.
I gladly accept ideas for free
if you have one I can see.
Writer's block is just not fun
and I've no time to rhyme and pun;
I need a masterpiece - just one
to prove my career's not yet done.
Oh, well, I guess I'll have to wait
in hope that someone takes the bait.
But hurry, please and don't be late
'cause I really need a writing date.

Someone told me that my poem was a bit like yours so I came by to take a peek. Yours is a lot longer and is quite good. Someone should come up with a cure for writer's block, lol.

When did you write this? It doesn't seem like you have writer's block. You hide it well.Hehe. Well anyway, I'm sorry your having writer's block. If it makes you feel better I think it's contagious. I have it too. I am just empty. I only have one article left for review in my article line and I am trying to squeeze out more ideas. I am feeling the pressure.
