A Writer's Woes

Dr. Jamie Yvette
I hate writer's block
when my brain is locked
and it seems I've misplaced the key
Now I'm left to guess
what words should come next
and I struggle miserably

When I get like this
I feel so remiss
but I can't pry myself away
So I sit here and wonder
how much longer I'll ponder
before I just call it a day

Good thing I don't drink
Well no - let me think;
a few sips might do the trick
Now I'm into this bottle
but I maxed out my throttle
and I'm starting to feel quite sick

As I run very fast
can't remember the last
time I worshipped the porcelain God
I would rather eat hay
than get on my knees today
but my stomach's acting really odd

Next time writer's block
Has my brain on lock
I'll just quietly step away
It's not worth the stress
of being the hot mess
I turned myself into today!
