The date: January 9, 2009. The insanely optimistic report: The Job Impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan. The author: Christina Romer. The president on whom this reflects: Barack Obama. Today is the dreaded, one-year anniversary of a now-most infamous report, The Job Impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan. If the out-and-out lies contained therein wouldn't be so disgusting, it may even well be funny, or at least pathetic in the most fundamental sense.
Of all the cataclysmic errors the Obama Administration made, The Job Impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan is likely their worst, at least economically. When you hear commentators like Sean Hannity hold over the heads of Obama and company the fact that they said the stimulus had to be passed immediately if the unemployment rate was to stay below 8%, this is the report in reference. When you hear GOP lawmakers like Eric Cantor say that Obama promised to keep the unemployment rate beneath at least 8.5% if the stimulus bill passed, this is the report in reference.
This report represents a very damning and telling look into how the Obama Administration lies to the American people, but when caught-after several months of reality failing to match their insane forecasts-they always downplay the deception as something that somehow wasn't binding. On the one-year anniversary of this epic debacle, what better time to examine exactly the extent of the Obama lies?!
For starters, the report uses the most crooked means of calculating economic data. In example, when Obama says 150000 jobs have been "created" or "saved," that's simply based on baseless projections that Romer came up with before Obama even came into office! Further deteriorating the credibility of that laughingstock report is the fact that lots of insane assumptions are made without reliable foundations. In example, Romer used a so-called rule of thumb that dictated that a 1% increase in GDP equals about one million jobs. The only, barely noticeable issue with that idiot methodology is that it's derived from "historical experience and so will not apply exactly in any given episode," according to Romer herself! That begs the question, Then why the heck use that methodology in the first place???
For its part, the Obama Administration is just relapsing to the same, old, tired, predictable tactic of blaming Bush. No, I didn't insert an unexpected joke here to lighten the mood...that's really what Jared Bernstein, chief economist to VP Biden, said in a June 8, 2009 press briefing. Bernstein alleged that the contraction in the fourth quarter of 2008 was worse than they expected...which would mean they failed to even guess correctly. So...even when the Obama Administration is trying to blame Bush, they still fail and incriminate themselves instead!
In all fairness, when your economic track record is as hellishly awful as Obama's, you'd probably lie through your teeth, too, to shift the blame. The real numbers are, as of the date of this writing, 10% unemployment (17.3% according to a broader measure of unemployment) and 3 million jobs lost under Obama. Just yesterday, 85000 more Americans lost their jobs, another statistic the Obama Administration didn't expect! Contrast these nightmarish figures with Obama's insane delusion-that the US economy had "created" or "saved" 150000 jobs by May of last year-and you begin to develop limitless anger for a president who is either lying or out of touch, or both!
Get angrier by seeing Obama brag about "creating" non-existent jobs to the tune of one million:

Post a CommentOther figures show that if you count the number of people who've stopped looking for work, the unemployment figure could be as high as 17 percent. It's tragic -- the only response to it is blah-blah about "green jobs" and more taxes.
Bush is always the scapegoat in this administration. You can bet the statistical calculations taken are every bit calculated themselves.
Most Americans are worn out by political spin and the lack of transparency. This administration has taken the "game" to a whole new level.
I know of people not wanting employment now, as they get unemployment checks for 99 weeks, and also a stimulus check. Why would they look for work?
