A Year Full of Thankfulness

KB
This year I am most thankful for my husband having found his faith in God, and for still having a house to live in as the year 2009 has been one of the worst years of our lives. We have found many friends this year and family who has supported us thru these hard times and has kept us going when everything else was falling down around us.

We have lost both of our dogs this year, our business and my personal vehicle. But my husband and I still have each other and we are very thankful for that. I am thankful that I have my sister to lean on when I need an ear to cry to when things get really tough. I am thankful that everyone in our family has managed to stay healthy this year after the scare of 2 of us having cancer.

I am thankful that my husband has a job because so many people out there don't. I am thankful to have a church to go to every Wednesday and Sunday, to sing praises to God, to worship him. I think I am most thankful for my neighbors one of whom is our pastor.

Night before last one of our neighbors brought us dinner and 25.00 dollars, it came at a time when we had no food and no money to put gas in our truck and the next night my husbands work sent home 2 steaks that fed us that night and last night my neighbor brought us a turkey for Thanksgiving. God has provided for us just as he said he would. I am thankful that we live in a world where neighbors help neighbors and family helps family.

My daughters boyriend is in Afghanistan right now and I am thankful that he is okay and will be home in 6 months. Life has tossed us lemons this year and still we find things to be thankful for. My son is out of the Navy now and for the first time will be able to spend Thanksgiving with us.

There are many things to be thankful for in life you just have to open your eyes and look for them.
