On this the 1st day of January 2011, let it be known that I, Mildred Windham do herby serve notice to the devil that I will do my very best to be more inspired this year to be of service to the one who made it possible for me to be here. We had new years watch at church last night from 9: 12 P.M. brought in the new year with worship and praise to the one for whom it is due. The whole service was centered around prayer (or the lack thereof.) And I for one am guilty. Satan will put up stumbling blocks and hindrances to fill your day. One lady said "you will love mowing your lawn, you will love doing your dishes, he'll make anything more fun than praying.. Satan knows there is power in prayer, if we neglect to pray he has won OUR victory. He has stolen OUR testimony.
It's so easy to get bogged down with daily activities and jobs that time slips away before we know it. The days are so short that it seems we don't get accomplished much but if we don't pray the accomplishments we make or in vain because we've left out the most important part of the day, prayer. We've seen miracles and witnessed things that could have only been done by the hand of God, but if we're not careful we'll take it for granted and soon forget it. Isn't it strange how you can hear a song that you don't even like but it sticks in your mind and you'll go around all day humming it, so how come it's so easy to forget a message that was so inspiring when you heard it. Again a mental block put there by that old slew foot himself. It's not his fault it's ours he's just doing his job. His payment? Men's souls.
I hope all my viewers know how much it has meant to me to be able to voice my opinions and write things from my heart that may not mean anything to anybody but me, for I try to write what I feel, we don't all share the same thoughts are feelings. But thanks for bearing with me and leaving such inspiring and uplifting comments. Even if sometime I write something that one may think offensive. Forgive me and leave me a comment, I will clarify it. I like criticism, that way I know my work is effective, even if it does need improving. I'm not above mistakes so let me hear from you.
May God bless and keep each one of my dear friends and acquaintances safe from harm and protect their families as well. Happy new Year to each and all. Your friend also. Mildred (Dean) Windham.

Prayer is definitely underestimated and under-used.
