From the first few days on AC, I knew I was doing something I loved. The first piece I wrote was on being a cutter and how that affected my life. I was paid for that content and instantly hooked on writing for pay. Over the next year, I listened to the discussion in the forums, took part in every aspect of the AC site and learned more about writing for the web than you could ever imagine. After that first year, my thirst for more returned and I knew I was set to make the next big step in freelance writing.
Just as I was about to embark on a new life as a business owner, my mother passed away in December of 2007. I was taken so off guard by the loss that I focused all of my energies on writing and creating that business. I created a website, started marketing and actively put my name out there as one of the best freelance writers you could hire. Am I arrogant? Yes, and that is because AC taught me everything there is to know about handling all things freelance with the confidence that you could rule the world.
Today, I run a successful business. I am working toward starting a few freelance websites in order to bring in more profit and teach other writers how to do exactly what I did. I regained my life, my self and an income in the process. The entire change was due to my accidental happening upon the Associated Content site. When new writers come to me asking how I do what I do, I instantly give them the web address to AC. Associated Content teaches, trains and allows people with dreams to become the freelance writers of the future.
How Can You Use AC to Jump Start Your Career?
Take the first step by signing up for Associated Content. Write some informative and grammatically correct piece for the site and you will be instantly addicted. When you stumble across the terms, keyword density and article promotion, do not get scared and run. Ask in the forums, there are long term writers who will be more than happy to guide you through the process of writing for the web. Once you learn, the world is out there to be claimed one article at a time.
