A Zombie Amongst Real People - Poem

Jill P. Viers
What's fun for me about this poem is that I have no idea when I wrote it, but when I read it, I can remember being so tired that I felt like a zombie.

So long since I slept, a zombie

Walking amongst real people

Who know where they are

Going, have lists full of tasks.

And they walk with purpose-

They have somewhere to be.

And someone is waiting

A deadline's in place

And they know where they

Are going

And what they

Are doing

And why they

Continue

To go and do.

But the Zombie wanders, not

Knowing why or what or

Where I am.

Funny, I feel this way when I'm depressed. Great poem.
