AAA Members Find Loads of Orlando Vacation Discounts

Save Your Money, Save Your Sanity on a Family Trip to Orlando

Heather de Winter
Family vacations inevitably cost more than we anticipate. Orlando vacations with the kids are always wrought with extra expenses. One day admission to Walt Disney World will run a single person $64 if they're a Florida resident - $71 for everyone else! The AAA Auto Club can save members a bundle just by stopping in at one of their full service branches in the Orlando area.

In Kissimmee, the AAA office is located at 204 West Oak Street, and they can be reached by calling (407) 944-0866. In the city of Orlando the AAA full service branch is located at 4300 East Colonial Drive, and their phone number is (407) 894-3333. Each one of these AAA locations provides discounts on attractions, restaurants, movies and more. Some specials are only offered to Florida residents or senior citizens, but check with AAA for more details.

Discounts to Orlando Attractions
Universal Studios Theme Park
offers a discounts on annual passes and day passes. The two days for the price of one package saves $47 and includes a second day at Universal Islands of Adventure. There is also a $16 off special on a one day admission. If you're interested in seeing Blue Man Group perform at Universal Citywalk, check with a AAA branch for discount pricing and availability.

Wet 'n' Wild is a historic Orlando water park. AAA members enjoy a $14 discount on a one day pass for adults, $8 for kids.

Sea World is my favorite Orlando attraction. Their commitment to marine conservation, research and community outreach is unsurpassed. AAA members receive a $12 discount on one day admission in addition to multi day specials, Busch Gardens combination packs and discounts on park extras.

Aquatica is Sea World's newest theme park. The water park allows visitors to ride enclosed waterslides underwater with dolphins. Because the park is so new the AAA deals change frequently. Check with one of the local branches to see what the specials are when you're in town.

Of course, Walt Disney World is what everyone wants to know about. AAA offers an abundance of different savings packages for everyone's different needs. Multi day park hopper passes save members well over $30 and there are specials for one day admission to Disney parks as well. Because of Disney's multitude of parks and the various specials, check with a AAA branch for more details.

Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral is also discounted for AAA members. Adults save over $4 on admission, kids over $3.

Dinner Shows
For entertaining dining options outside the parks, AAA members receive $7 off discounts at Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show, $12 off at Medieval Times and Arabian Nights, and a whopping $23 off at Pirate's Dinner Adventure.

Other Deals

Thrifty Parking in Orlando offers AAA members a discounted rate of $7 a day. Maps and tour books are totally free. And discounted movie tickets are available for AMC, Regal Cinemas and more. Lost your passport? No problem! Well, sort of a problem. But at least you can step into the local AAA branch and get a new passport photo free of charge!

Being a AAA member isn't just about getting a flat tire changed or helping out when you locked your keys in the car. The discounts to be had are endless. What I've listed here is only a brief overview of the deals to be had. These specials change frequently, so check in with one of the Orlando AAA offices and see what goodies are in store for your next family vacation.
