Aaron Kelly Performed I Believe I Can Fly on April 20's American Idol. With I Believe I Can Fly, Aaron Kelly took a risk on going after a song that might have been too big for him. The risk was well worth the reward though, as he won over several of the judges during his performance. Randy Jackson thought that he did a great job, Ellen DeGeneres thought that he was really good, and even Kara thought he had really hit his stride. This was an important performance for Aaron Kelly, and it showed him going from a nervous kid on stage, to really owning the song on this night. Will it be a good enough performance to keep him out of the bottom three on the April 21 American Idol Results Show? Only time will tell if the audience voters support him as well as the judges did.
