ABC and Bachelor Jake Pavelka Deny He Raised His Fist at Vienna Girardi on Bachelorette

It started off as an emotionally charged reunion interview between Bachelor Jake Pavelka and his ex-fiance Vienna Girardi. But it's what may or may not have happened at the end of the interview that caused Vienna to run off in tears that has people across America talking.

Contrary to what Star Magazine and RadarOnline claim happened to cause Vienna Girardi to walk off in tears ABC and Jake Pavelka are doing serious damage control after it was alluded that Jake may have raised his fist at Vienna after he yelled at her for the final time to stop interrupting him while he was trying to give his side of the breakup story.

Vienna, who said the reason she left Jake was due to intimacy issues and verbal abuse on top of his volatile temper, stood up and said, "You are the vainest person I have ever met in my life," before bursting into tears and walking off the set with a camera man following her. She hid in another room and could be heard saying, "He tried to..." twice before the show went to commercials.

But, was this real? Or was it staged by ABC for ratings leading into the premier of the new season of the Bachelorette? No one watching really had a chance to see whether Jake really did raise his fist or not since the camera was on host Chris Harrison at the time Vienna stood up, took off her microphone and stormed off.

ABC's response in a statement said, "no one was ever physically in harm's way" during the taping of the interview. The statement went on to say, "Former The Bachelor participants Jake and Vienna taped an interview last night. As this was the first time the two had seen one another since their recent breakup, the atmosphere was emotionally charged. However, and contrary to reports that have surfaced about the interview, at no time was anyone ever physically in harm's way, nor was anyone ever threatened with physical violence."

ABC released the statement following Star Magazine and RadarOnline reports that said insiders with the show told them that Pavelka went into a rage during the interview and pulled back his arm and made a fist toward Vienna. This was also something Vienna alluded to after the interview.Jake Pavelka has claimed all along, and in a recent interview with People Magazine, that he left Vienna over trust issues and reports that she was cheating on him. Prior to the interview with People Vienna told Star Magazine that she left the Bachelor after he abruptly stopped being intimate with her and accused her of cheating on him, among other things.
