ABC Cancels Eli Stone ?

If ABC cancels Eli Stone, there won't be a season 3. Eli Stone is a series with a vision, (pun intended). A show that requires the capture of your intellect. A show that debates and questions by arguing on both sides, many of the issues of today. In fact the pilot episode challenged the question of vaccine manufacturers and the possible association of vaccines and autism which is highly debated today. Bringing also to the front in the issue, the fact that many leaders in the industry do not vaccinate their own children while promoting the vaccines as a necessary panacea to all that ails the world through illness.

Eli Stone has challenged sex change and it's role in the ministry, gay affairs and child custody, the power of a father to control the future of his son by challenging the governments stance on Medicinal Marijuana which has been coming into the lime light by the claims of millions as to it's unique ability to safely treat symptoms and possibly even prevent or slow down many illnesses such as cancer and Alzheimer's. If ABC cancels Eli Stone, another potential for point of view debates in an entertaining form will be gone.

Besides just fighting issues, the show itself raises questions of issues today, when in season two the law firm split up because of Eli Stone's influence on it's founding partner by making him realize his dream of helping people became a quest for money in defending shady and harmful corporate practices. By finding himself once again, Jordan Weathersby turns from what he had become, to realize the importance of helping the poor find justice instead of helping the rich get richer by burying immoral practices under the veil of legal mumbo jumbo. As the writers have inserted into the show, Eli Stone and many other attorneys entered the practice to, "Make a difference", in the world, this is one show that could, "Make a Difference", but if ABC cancels Eli Stone, then ABC has chosen to side with Posner and Kline, to follow the money at all cost as opposed to maintaining a wholesome show.

I think it is a shame if the show gets canceled. I also think it is a shame that we as a society have as a whole been seduced by, and would rather watch the sleazy gyrations of dancers than to find entertainment in issues that challenge our intellects and force us to seek meaningful purposes behind our lives and the issues that face us.

At present ABC has said it has only not ordered new episodes, which means the show is basically on hold, but if new episodes are not ordered to be written, then the show itself will be a wash. If ABC cancels Eli Stone, I for one will be a disappointed viewer, one who really enjoyed being inspired or impassioned by some of the many issues presented on this show. I won't replace it with dancing with the stars, my wife has my full attention in that area of my life, apparently and unfortunately, it appears that most people do not find that satisfaction in their home.

Petition ABC to keep the show alive here

  • Eli Stone, a series with a vision...
Eli Stone, unlike many brain dead series on TV today, challenged issues from both sides raising awareness and passions in it's viewers.

It's a mystery. Christian Slater's new show "My Own Worst Enemy" was also cancelled after only 1 or 2 episodes. Yet, junk like the "Bad Girls' Club" keeps getting new life. It's the viewers' fault!
