ABC Hits Home Run with Bachelorette Stars Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez

The Bachelorette's all-American girl, Ali Fedotowsky, seems to have become America's sweetheart. She seems to have everything going for her: She is beautiful, smart, down-to-earth, funny, spunky and sensible.

And she now has Tampa's Roberto Martinez: Romantic, thoughtful, adoring, strong, family-oriented, and sexy.

It has been one week since America learned that Ali Fedotowsky chose Roberto Martinez on the finale of The Bachelorette, and saw their reunion on the After the Final Rose interview on ABC. (Read more about the finale and the interview here.)

Celebrities love Ali and Roberto

Fedotowsky and Martinez continue to be the topic of America's conversations. Even Playboy tycoon, Hugh Hefner, seems to have hopped on this bandwagon. Crystal Harris, Hugh's girlfriend, hooked him on the show and he is a big fan of Ali's, according to E!Online.

It is difficult not to be caught up in all the hoopla which surrounds The Bachelorette. Once the finale was over, the Bachelorette couple was free to show their love and devotion in public. Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez attended a Hollywood charity function benefitting ovarian cancer research, where they were able to rub elbows with members of the Kardashian family and many others.

E!Online also reported that Hollywood glitz and glamour was added to by the engagement ring that Fedotowsky was sporting on her left hand. Valued at $50,000, the platinum-set, 3.03-carat asscher-cut diamond is accented with 184 round brilliant-cut diamonds.

Will the fairytale end?

ABC has certainly hit a homerun with this duo, and Ali and Roberto are certainly enjoying the spoils of what being in the limelight can bring. But what will this do to them and their relationship when a new Bachelor or Bachelorette season begins and they try to go back to being a normal couple?

Viewers have always loved the casual, down-to-earth qualities of both Ali Fedotowsky, a former Facebook employee, and Roberto Martinez, an insurance agent and former baseball player. It is nice to believe in the love story.

Let's hope that this fairytale does not end for Ali and Roberto in the same disastrous way most of the other Bachelor and Bachelorette couples have ended. It is difficult to imagine either of them on an upcoming episode for the losers.

As America waits for the Fedotowsky-Martinez story to unfold, ABC is up to bat again in hopes of hitting another homerun for ratings with The Bachelor Pad. Nineteen former contestants will be competing for a chance to win $250,000.
