Looks at the Auto Industry

On Friday, June 10, 2011, ABC World News with Dianne Sawyer did a segment on jobs in America, an issue that is been a major concern of mine and the Yahoo Contributor Network. They zoomed in on the automobile industry and asked viewers "Which car sold in America develops the most jobs?"

The Automobile Industry

This is a very significant issue as car sales are up 14% this year and for every worker on the assembly line nine additional jobs are developed. So they compared a Ford factory with a Toyota factory that makes Toyotas in the United States. According to the program the Toyota plant actually developed more jobs in the United States.

Jobs in America

Jobs, the automobile industry, and the quality of cars are significant issues issues on this website. Previously we reported on the importance of the Jeep Cherokee to the Chrysler Corporation, and that Jeep Cherokees were being manufactured totally in the United States. Then we explained the importance of this development.
