Last year, I wasn't going to watch the "Officer is a Gentlemen" show but curiosity got the best of me and I did tune in...What a weird group of 25 women were there hoping to be the one he would pick...His goal, he said, was to find the women of his dreams to marry...well, after all the "dates" with each one, the roses given out to the lucky ones during the eliminations, the meeting of the parents, he decided on the one lady even I thought was a bit special, Her name was Tessa.. He proposed, "She is everything he was looking for" they got engaged on the last episode, did all the TV Circuit tours and were on there way to living happily ever after...But wait! I just read they broke up in August...so that's was the end of that fairy tale romance.
This years show, which started tonight, promises to be more of the same, Brad, the new Bachelor is being touted as the "Sexiest bachelor ever" according to ABC....He is a handsome devil I must agree after watching the show...He is the owner of some nightclubs and bars in Austen Texas and is something of a "good ole boy" says executive producer, Mike Fleiss, But he says also that he's "really cool" he's also admitted to being a millionaire...not too shabby for the lucky lady who gets that final rose.
The show this year show takes place in Malibu in what is being called a "bachelor pad"...It is here he will meet those 25 bachelorettes who all are hopeful they will be the one he chooses...they will go on group dates, personal dates and even some very private dates, where the camera doesn't intrude behind those closed doors....Hmmm.........
But first he has to eliminate the first group of ladies...those that don't get that coveted rose are sure to be very disappointed...I read something one of the producers said that this year will have the craziest girls ever, well, in that case, it really should be a hoot to watch. So far, there was no disappointment on that end when one girl showed her webbed toes, another jumped in the pool and another got into some strange twisted body position to show off how flexible she is...yes, very strange....another thing I always find funny is when the girls have a bit too much to drink and say some things that really shouldn't say on TV..it happened tonight, one girl just couldn't keep it together...she didn't get the rose!
Now after the first elimination of 10, the stage is set for some interested tete a tete's between them all...the girls will get very bitchy with each other while turning on the charm for him, there will be surprises galore with many broken hearts and the tears will flow as the losers drive off in the limo... yet, there will be one lucky winner and though Brad says he is looking for a wife I wonder if it will pan out, only time can tell....Let the fun and games begin!!
The Bachelor airs Monday nights on ABC at 10:00 P.M

Post a CommentHate this premise very demeanig to women good review tho
I sometimes look at this show when I flip channels and nothing else interests me. I love making fun of those situations those girls put them in to win the Bachelor's affection. I know, kinda stupid but hey, it really is funny at times ;-)
Great review. I'll have to admit to having watched a bit of one or two "Bachelor" shows, but I think the whole thing is ridiculous. Like--has it occurred to any of the participants that "Miss Right" just doesn't happen to be one of the would-be's? Have you actually known of any cases where the "winner" and the bachelor actually got married? I know one bachelor who was from Oklahoma and people here were saying he had been engaged before and the girl caught him with another woman and broke the engagemnent. He chose the one girl on the show that I thought had any scruples, and wound up breaking her heart after the show was over. I don't think I'll waste any more time watching any of the drivel.
Good review. Somehow I didn't know this was starting again. I am not a fan, but admit that I got somewhat hooked on the officer and a gentleman. Wonder why they broke up?
I wish they'd cancel this show. Lol.
25 bachelorettes? Where do I sign?
Nice job - this was on my list to review but sigh..there's so much to review!
I watched last season and it held my interest, I guess, over everything else that was on. I think that I'll probably watch this season too. Great review! :)
I now know what I am missing.
I saw the preview and it looked pretty good, but I didn't get a chance to watch the premiere. I will have to catch it next week! Thanks for the review, though!
