ABC Releases New 2011/2012 Lineup of Shows

ABC network released their new 2011/2012 television schedule the morning of Wednesday, May 18, 2011. The new lineup includes a mixture of very successful shows like Grey's Anatomy , Modern Family, Desperate Housewives and Private Practice along with a slew of new shows debuting in the lineup.

New shows include Good Christian Belles, Last Man Standing, Apartment 23, 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show, Man Up, Work It, Suburgatory, Expedition Impossible, Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition, Pan Am, Once Upon a Time, Missing, Charlie's Angels, Revenge, The River, Scandal, and The Chew.

While there are lots of new shows appearing for the new season, some fans are reeling about the cancellation of Brothers & Sisters and Off the Map, which debuted last season. It came as a surprise to most fans that Brothers & Sisters was one of the shows not making the cut for the new season. The show has been on for several seasons and has a pretty good fan base.

The schedule for the 2011/2012 season will be as follows:

Sunday

7/6c America's Funniest Home Videos

8/7c Once Upon a Time

9/8c Desperate Housewives

10/9 Pan Am

Monday

8/7c Dancing with the Stars

8/8c Castle

Tuesday

8/7c Last Man Standing

8:50/7:30c Man Up

9/8c Dancing with the Stars

10/9c Body of Proof

Wednesday

8/7c The Middle

8:30/7:30c Suburgatory

9/8c Modern Family

9:30/8:30c Happy Endings

10/9c Revenge

Thursday

8/7c Charlie's Angels

9/8c Grey's Anatomy

10/9c Private Practice

Friday

8/7c Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

9/8c Shark Tank

10/9c 20/20

Saturday

8/7c College Football

It will be interesting to see how many of the new shows will actually make it and to see which ones bomb. I'm betting that several will not make it for the entire season.
