ABC's Bachelor Pad: Fifteen More Minutes of Fame

It's definitely no secret that ABC has had success with The Bachelor and The Bachelorette shows. Adding a twist to the classic, the Bachelor Pad combines the rose ceremony, a survival-like elimination, and the drama of 19 people living in the same house. Chris Harrison and Melissa Rycroft host the new ABC reality show. However, what is most intriguing are the contestants involved in this show.

Bachelor Pad contestant - Ashley E.
From Jake's season, Ashley is a teacher from Virginia. However, she is most remembered as the girl who dressed up in a flight attendant costume the first night on The Bachelor Season 14. I have a feeling we will be seeing more cheesy antics from Ashley.

Bachelor Pad contestant - Craig M.
Craig M. from Ali's season of The Bachelorette Season 6 can most be remembered by his hair and opposition to the weatherman. With the weatherman, Jonathan N. in the house again, it will be interesting to see if these two have it in for each other.

Bachelor Pad contestant - David G.
David G. from Jillian's season of The Bachelorette Season 5 gave us insight into how men behave by explaining the man code. However, he's mostly remembered for his drunken antics and crazy eyes. At age 28, let's hope he's matured enough to handle himself better in this house.

Bachelor Pad contestant - Elizabeth K.
Elizabeth K. from Jake's season told Jake her rules on dating and how she didn't want to kiss him until the end of the show. Will she still feel the same on this show? Said to be dating, Jesse Kovacs, could they possibly create an alliance?

Bachelor Pad contestant - Gia
Gia was a sweetheart on Jake's season, but ultimately, let her insecurities get the best of her. As a swimsuit model from New York, it's no doubt that the boys will be excited to see her.

Bachelor Pad contestant - Gwen G
Gwen G. from Aaron's season (the second Bachelor) is the contestant from the earliest season in The Bachelor series. Recent fans of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette franchise will be learning about Gwen for the first time.

Bachelor Pad contestant - Jesse B.

Jesse B. is a 25-year-old hunk from Ali's season. Many will remember his large tattoos on his side, shoulder, and leg. He was the strong, silent type on the show and left earlier than many expected. With a new dynamic in the house, let's see if Jessie's more outgoing and competitive side emerges.

Jesse K. from Jillian's season was one charming guy. At 28, he is a winemaker in Los Angeles. He and Elizabeth are said to be dating. How will the other members of the house react to this cozy twosome?

Jessie S. from Jake's season is in cosmetic sales in Canada. However, she most recently made an appearance on Ali's season to tell her about a cheating contestant. Jessie was one who hung around her season a lot longer than expected and didn't get a lot of airtime. It will be interesting to see how long she lasts in the Bachelor Pad.

Jonathan N. from Ali's season is best known as the weatherman. He was desperate to find love and confront anyone to get there. With his biggest competitor, Craig, participating on Bachelor Pad as well, it seems inevitable that chaos will ensue.

Bachelor Pad contestant - Juan B.
Juan B. from Jillian's season had a cocky attitude and confronting nature. His enemy on his season, David, is also back for more on Bachelor Pad. Don't expect a warm, chummy greeting from each other with these two.

Bachelor Pad contestant - Kiptyn L.
Kiptyn L. from Jillian's season was such a genuinely nice guy. As the fan favorite of his season, will he be the favorite on Bachelor Pad as well? Look for Kiptyn to make it to the final four, if not the final winner of the $250,000 prize money.

Bachelor Pad contestant - Krisily K.
Krisily K. was the runner-up on Charlie's season of The Bachelor Season 7. She certainly didn't make a good impression with the girls then, will that change now?

Bachelor Pad contestant - Michelle K.
Michelle K. was a little crazy on Jake's season. She packed up to voluntarily leave numerous times. How will she handle the drama this time around?

Natalie G. was all about the drama on Jason's season of The Bachelor. She seemed immature and materialistic then. But she seems to have the killer instinct when it comes to competition. Look for Natalie to be in the final four.

Nikki K. was from Jason's season. She left during an unfortunate two-on-one date. Nikki has a past with one of the other contestants in the Bachelor Pad. How will this affect her strategy?

Many remember Peyton W. from Andy's season when she was left on an aircraft carrier after a two-on-one date. Peyton is a friendly, likable girl. Will the likability factor help Peyton to go deep in the competition? Stay tuned.

Tenley M. was everyone's favorite on Jake's season. She has a wholesome heart and a fun spirit, but is she ready for what this competition can lead to? Or the crazy environment that is sure to be eminent in the Bachelor Pad.

Wes H. from Jillian's season may best be known for the song he kept singing over and over again. Later, he was revealed to have a girlfriend and to only be on the show as a way of enhancing his singing career. Could this be a repeat search for stardom?

So there they are. The 19 contestants on the upcoming Bachelor Pad that airs Monday nights 8-10 p.m. on ABC starting August 9th. With this cast, there will certainly be conflicts, hook ups, and drama. However, is this simply another shot at their 15 minutes of fame?
