Benjamin Linus gets shot! He definitely deserved it but probably not as a thirteen year old child! What a shame it could not have come thirty years later when he becomes a threat to all humanity. Sayid pulled the trigger while trying to escape from the Dharma Initiative compound with Ben's help. It seemed that Sayid knew he was going to shoot Ben in order for him to be turned over to The Others which happens at the end of the episode.
Sawyer and Kate reunite thier rebellious spirits in yet another attempt to undermine the authority which Jack seems to never be able to exert. They are the ones who actually end up turning the injured Ben over to Richard Albert who still remains an elusive and vague character. While Richard maintains he will help Ben with his wound he also states that he will forever be one of The Others and that his innocence will be lost forever. No pun intended.
The entire scenario comes to fruition because Jack in his impulsive wisdom decides that helping to stem Ben's wound would only play into the grand scheme of things being preplanned. In the always peculiar Lost twist, by not helping to prevent Ben's death he actually solidifies the fate of all those currently stranded and all those to be stranded on the Island.
Hurley continues to maintain a role which bounces between an innocent child looking at a new world and a prophet that has no idea that the gift he inherited could save them all. His childlike antics make the show tedious at times but also keeps the more human aspects of being stranded on an island in the forefront of everyones mind.
That recaps the gritty details of the April 2nd episode. Waiting to see Ben's judgement by the smoke monster will be hard as that is what has been promised for next weeks venture into the bizarre. Stay tuned for more information and new updates regarding the hottest show on Wednesday nights.
The next new episode of the always excitng Lost will be on at 9pm April 8th for all those dedicated watchers. Please post any comments you may have so that your interests are addressed next post.
