Once the survivors of the plane crash begin to get their bearings they find out they are not alone on the island. Not only are they not alone, but the other inhabitants are not friendly and a game of psychological and physical warfare breaks out between the two groups of people. One mans son is used as a tool by the hostile inhabiter's, to manipulate him into concession and betrayal. A pregnant girl is kidnapped for medical purposes to try to save her and her child. Eventually through the seasons more and more about the inhabitants is revealed as well as some of the survivors of the plane crash. The series is filled with espionage, corporate financial protection, survival in a hostile environment, and the psychological twists of the friends and enemies on the island. Season four ended with a lot of resolutions but also with a lot more and newer questions unanswered, with a whole new twist left to be revealed when season five of ABC's Lost returns in 2009.
Another interesting anomaly of the island, inferred as a result of some electromagnetic field, one member of the crash survivors got on the plane in a wheel chair, but on the island he has full use of his legs. Another anomaly is that child bearing women do not survive full term. Add this to the complexities and a variety of personalities from criminals to doctors and just about everything in between including a lottery winner, and the show becomes captivating and you want to know what is going to happen next.
At the end of season 4, the survivors find themselves back on the mainland with lots of ties back to each other and the island itself. Where does it go from here? Does corporate money run the island? Will the Doctor return to the island? These and other questions may be answered when ABC's Lost returns in 2009. If you have not seen Lost, we recommend watching it. All four seasons are available on ABC.com and there are links to several networks on RV'ing for Families where you can watch TV on your PC.
