Abercrombie & Fitch Paying Jersey Shores Michael Sorrentino and Other Cast to Stop Wearing Their Clothing!
I have never watched the show 'Jersey Shores'. However, from what I have read, it is a very popular show that airs on MTV. Naturally, when you think of a popular show or celebrity, you assume that the endorsements would come flocking at their feet. After all, the best way to sell a product is by having a celebrity seen using it or wearing it.
That is not the case with Abercrombie & Fitch. According to the Chicagotribune.com, Abercrombie & Fitch has offered to PAY Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino, as well as other cast members, to stop wearing their clothing.
Why would a company make such a decision? According to a statement released by Abercrombie & Fitch on Tuesday, they are concerned that Sorrentino is casting a bad image toward the company by wearing their clothing. Yet, according to ocregistered.com the answer is a little bit more simple. Sorrentino and crew are not 'classy' enough to wear Abercrombie & Fitch clothing.
It makes me wonder what the clothing line was thinking of by asking the cast to stop wearing their clothing. With the school year approaching can this be a PR stunt or does the famous clothing line actually have a problem with 'Jersey Shore' members wearing its clothing.
Whatever the reason, it was probably not the smartest move on the part of Abercrombie & Filch. According to the Chicagotribune.com, the companies stock fell almost 9 percent after the announcement was made.
Perhaps Abercrombie & Filch should consider "The Situation" as being the right choice for branding its name. After all, how much worse can 'Jersey Shores' be when the clothing line is notorious for creating a push up bikini top for 7-year-old girls and children thongs.
