Abortion is Only Justified in the Most Extreme Situations

To abort or kill an unborn child is under all circumstance cruel to the child in question. Sadly however there are instances were this is necessary.

In problematic pregnancies or pregnancies that suddenly complicated resulting in a situation were only one life can be saved, it is in the best interest of everyone, including the child, to let the mother live.
A child whose mother was killed in child birth as a direct consequence of complications, will in many case end up living with the supposed guilt of indirectly killing their mother. Although this in itself is not convincing argument it should still be considered.

Also if the mother has other children, to allow the mother to die would not only leave the unborn child motherless but her other children as well and her husband a widower. These must all be taken into consideration in those situations. A delay in making this decision early on in the pregnancy could lead to the death of both instead.

There is also the heartbreaking situations in which the child has a congenital disease or defect that will inevitably result in pending death or profound misery after birth. To keep the child alive until then is cruelty in itself.

On the other hand, in the event that both the unborn child and mother are in good health but the mother desires to have the abortion because of relationship, irresponsibility, wish to not have a child or any other such personal comfort situation then abortion is in every meaning of the word, murder. If a boyfriend or husband can't accommodate a child perhaps you should leave him.

If the pregnancy is the result of irresponsible behavior, deal with it. Don't condemn the child to death for your actions. And if you truly wish not to have the responsibility of a child, there is adoption to consider. You may not want the child but someone else does. Do not make decisions based on what is in your best interest only, but for everyone including the child. To kill a child for a non-ethical reason is monstrous. Don't do it.

To abort a pregnancy is in many cases a necessity, but in as many, if not more it isn't. Don't be inhuman to an unborn child, analyze every option with your doctor, family, friends, or husband, before you make a decision.
