About Cinder Road

Cinder Road is a rock band from Lutherville, MD, United States. They are also known as Plunge, but they changed the name to Cinder Road in 2007. They got their name from the street where they grew up. Cinder Road's current members are Mike Ruocco (vocals/guitar), Chris Shicosky (vocals/guitar), Eric Jung (bass) and Mac Calveresi (drums). There has also been Pat Patrick on guitar and Nat Diegen playing bass, but they decided to leave the band in summer 2008.
After the band got attention of Union Entertaiment group, Cinder Road were signed with EMI. With the first album, "Superhuman" the band worked with Marti Fredriksen (produce of Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Ozzy Osboune) and released the album in June 2007. The albums continue pure old rock and roll and heart-melted ballards.

After that the band has been constantly toured with a big names like the former Americal Idol finalist Chris Daughtry in early 2007, 90's alt-rockers Candlebox, Aussies Sick Puppies and Hurt. 2007 the band also toured with Puddle of Mudd and Tesla. 2008 followed touring with the band called "Red". Cinder Road also found they ways to international fans, when in April 2008 the band was chosen to be the opening act for the legendary KISS on they Alive35 European tour. The dand also spent part of July 2008 playing on "Vans Warped Tour", following a US tour with Alice Cooper.

Currently the band is writing the new material for the next album, which has been planned to release in early 2009. Cinder Road also starts a small Japan press tour in october 2008 for the release of the album "Superhuman" in Japan.
