About Me

Thanks for giving me a chance. My name is Bud Young. I am a Christian. Actually, I would prefer Yeshuan. Christian is a little too Greek. But, people look at me funny when I say Yeshuan. My spell checker doesn't even recognize it. I digress.

I haven't always been a Christian. I used to be a selfish prick who enjoyed partying, materialism and just being a jerk. Addiction, divorce and a few trips to the looney bin convinced me that I might not know everything. So, I began searching, really searching. I learned from the Bible the importance of love. Also, despite everything I had been told, God is more about loving and nurturing than condemnation. Religion must be questioned and not blindly followed was another tough lesson. My journey has also shown me that I have a call on my life. A call and a gift for making people think. This gift seems to manifest through my writing. In fact, I am not very talented at all with verbal communication. If you need proof, I'll put you in touch with my wife. That is why I have started my own site.

I believe that Yeshua taught in parables for a reason. He did not want to spoon feed his followers spiritual principles. He wanted to instigate thought. As humans, when something is just given to us we tend to take it for granted. If we work for it, it has more value. On my site, I follow this example and principle.

So, if you want to be challenged; if you want a swift kick in the ass to get out of your religious playpen; if you want to learn to take responsibility for what you believe; if you want to strive to love in all situations; if you want a radical and genuine relationship with God. If you want to be spoon fed a belief system, go visit a Mormon, Muslim, Buddhist, New Age, Conservative Christian or whatever site. You won't find that there.
