You may be asking yourself what is Absolutely Incredible Kid Day and is this just another gimmick to get me to spend money? Absolutely Incredible Kid Day is a new holiday created by Campfire USA to celebrate incredible kids. For the longest time kids have been subjected to Mother's day and Father's Day with no special day to call their own. Finally Campfire USA has established a day just for kids.

Since 1996 Absolutely Incredible Kid Day has been helping make a special day for you to celebrate your child. It enables a Parent, Grandparent, Child, or just a friend to let a child know how special they are by writing them a letter. The letter simply states why and how important that child is to you and your life. The response has been overwhelming and this has exponentially grown each year. The ultimate goal is not to commercialize another holiday but exactly the opposite and engage with children in the most non-commercialized way, a simple note. The cost is only time and the rewards can be more than you ever expected.

Campfire USA decided to have a letter writing campaign for a few reasons. A letter or note is something that the child can feel, keep and remember for years to come. A few simple words can do wonders for a child's self esteem. You can slip the note under a pillow or in their lunch sack as a secret surprise to brighten their day.

Camp Fire USA is one of the nation's leading not-for-profit youth development organizations. They have a national headquarters in Kansas City, MO and have been in practice since 1910. Campfire USA is the first nonsectarian, interracial organization for girls in the United States, and has moved to coed to allow flexibility to parents to consolidate times with sons and daughters.

Absolutely Incredible Kids Day can be a great tradition to start with your family and friends. The goal would be to enable you with an opportunity to tell a child how important they are to you and how special they truly are. You would be surprised how much of an impact a simple note can be as opposed to a monetary or superficial gift. If asked a child may prefer a new video game but for the emotional health nothing can be greater than the reinforcement of love and affection for a child.
