The Oprah Winfrey Network has launched a search for a new TV Reality show where contestants will compete for the chance to win their own TV talk show. The premise is simple enough: 10 contestants selected from in-person auditions and 10 contestants from on-line auditions will then fly to Los Angeles to compete for their chance to be the one chosen to win the "My Own Show" contest and have their own TV talk show.

Even though this "Hungarian from New Jersey Texan Transplant" knew her chances were 1 in a million (or perhaps 1 in several hundred thousand but I'm not a statistician) at the last minute she decided to submit an audition video. The process was slow and difficult as the site had slowed to a snail's pace but that didn't discourage her. Truth is her husband Dale wouldn't let her quit.

I'd actually gone to Rutgers University as a Communication Major hoping to become a TV news anchor. That plan was side-tracked by the responsibilities of married life. Through the last several years of my life since the demise of my first marriage I'd come to realize that I have some pretty remarkable gifts. One gift being my ability to cut through confusion and BS and address the heart of the matter so that a body can move onward and upward, free from the mire that bogged them down and got them stuck. The other being my innate ability to reach down inside a person's soul to bring to light that which is most special within them and present that to the world. When I saw the "My Own Show" promo it just seemed like a wonderful opportunity and the next logical step for me as my journey had gone from stay-at-home-mom to certified fitness professional to consultant and writer. Take a few moments to view my audition and if my mission statement touches your heart please express that with your vote. Though there has been some pretty uglycontroversy regarding the online voting being rigged by the Oprah Winfrey Network itself, I am not daunted. What will be, will be. Regardless, at the end of the day I know I didn't chicken out for fear of failure. I saw an opportunity and took the leap of faith. I've always been one to practice what I preach which is what I intend to do if I am afforded this once-in-a-life-time opportunity.
