AC Twitter Challenge Awards Show Part Two

Recognizing Exceptional Entrants

Y! Jelena
Welcome back to the AC Twitter Challenge Awards Show! To recap, AC announced the official Twitter Challenge sweepstakes winners last week. Shortly thereafter, we presented five awards to contributors who weren't randomly selected in the sweepstakes but who did an extraordinarily good job either using Twitter, writing about the Twitter Challenge or both.

Now, we'll round out the Twitter Challenge Awards Show with five more award winners. Each award winner will receive a $10 open assignment to write about the topic of his or her choice.

Our first award today is for Best Special Effects. This award goes to a Twitter Challenge entrant who took advantage of special features and third-party tools in order to maximize the impact of his or her time on Twitter.

The winner is... Carly Hart! Carly used HootSuite to enhance her Twitter experience and dubbed it, "A must-have for Associated Content writers." Features like HootSuite's favorites list and its retweeting tool helped Carly use Twitter as @PinchingAbe to increase her pageviews, interact with friends and even win coupons and gift codes.

The next award is for the Best Costume Design. This award is for an entrant who created a unique Twitter background, used a compelling, personal avatar and adjusted the standard Twitter color scheme to match.

In this category, our winner is.... Faith Draper! As @byfaithonly, Faith created a simple but effective background and color scheme. Many entrants had lovely premade backgrounds, but this award is intended to recognize someone who took the time and effort to make their own.

Our third prize of the evening goes to the Best Documentary Tweeter. This award-winner documented Twitter's impact on his or her traffic goals and published this information for others to analyze and use.

And the winner is.... Marie Anne St. Jean! Tweeting as @ldyjarhead, Marie discovered a consistent ratio of Twitter clicks to pageviews. As a bonus, Marie also experimented with Hootsuite and found that the application was able to increase her productivity. She also organized her Tweeting more efficiently with Hootsuite.

Our fourth award is for the Best Twirector. This prize goes to the entrant who suggested the most useful tools and apps for others to enhance their Twitter experience.

Congratulations to... Jolie Du Pre! Jolie's article, "How Twitter works for me," suggests and explains a whopping four useful Twitter tools that can help all AC contributors on Twitter. Follow Jolie as @joliedupre to be among the first to hear about any new Twitter tools she discovers.

The final award of the evening goes to the Best All-Around Twit. This person is successful in using Twitter authentically to connect with others, build relationships and drive pageviews. He or she also submitted a particularly useful article as an AC Twitter Challenge entry.

Drumroll please... and the winner is.... Lyn Lomasi! Lyn has amassed over 1,300 followers on Twitter as @MomieTullotes. She also published the helpful article, "Twitter is a Must for AC Contributors." Plus, Lyn helps new AC contributors on Twitter by seeking them out and helping them to learn the ropes. What a gal!

I hope you've enjoyed the AC Twitter Challenge Awards Show! All award winners will receive their open assignments ASAP. Keep on Tweeting!
