AC Twitter Challenge to Increase Exposure

Tweet Success

Ranee Wright
Before the AC Twitter Challenge, I had little interest in tweeting but it really does increase exposure. My PVs have noticeably increased since tweeting and there is a possibility of winning a netbook, so I'm very glad I took on the AC Twitter Challenge. Five runners-up will receive his or her choice of a $100 gift certificate to ThinkGeek.com or a Laplearner Lap Deskunners.

I must admit, I became slightly addicted to Twitter at first. It was fun to explore this new world. After a bit of exploration, I worked on gaining followers by posting in forums on AC and following them as well. I also checked out some followers of those following me. Sounds a little like high school, popularity contest. Next, I created a bit.ly account to track my hits. I tweeted shortened bit.ly links along with the title of my article.

My results revealed tweeting does increase exposure. Although, I also attribute my rise in 'clout' to fellow AC Content Producers (CP's): those I've come across in the 'subscriber's forum' and reading, commenting, and following other AC CP's. Of course, I prefer AC over Twitter, I do appreciate the increased exposure tweeting has provided.

My current twitters stats to date (joined September : 50 following, 36 followers, and 58 tweets. The majority of my followers are AC CP's. I follow them and my favorite celebrities and authors. Almost all of my tweets are links and bit.ly links to my AC CP articles. I have gained 346 clicks by tweeting since September 29 and I posted the majority of my links October 5!! The clicks keep on coming from followers and people that search Twitter for content that interests them.

I'm way behind you on trying to figure out Twitter...Getting there but it rather confusing! I enjoy the AC forums much more than Twitter. :)

I haven't fully analyzed my results yet from this challenge but I suspect it will be very similar to your results. It has been interesting.
