Accessory to the Perfect Night: A Girl's Guide to the Perfect Prom Accessory

Rebekah Joy
It's that time of year again, the time where al lhigh school girls start to tan, start to coordinate their dresses with their dates, and try to find the perfect prom accessories. But sometimes it can be hard to find the perfect compliment to the perfect dress. Here is your go-to guide to picking the right prom accessory for your outfit.

Bags This is probably (in my book at least) one of the most important prom accessories that can either make or break your outfit. Choosing a bag can also be very difficult because you don't want to completely distract from your dress. I would try a cute bag like this "satin n pearls" bag. Prom Girl (the website that sells the purse) will also dye it to match your dress.

Shoes OMG! Shoes! Shoes are going to compliment your dress in ways you never imagined. It's hard to tell you exactly what kind of shoes to pick to work with your dress you will just have to pick shoes that just feel right for you. Personally I think a pair classic patent pump works with any dress. If your dress is really colorful, stay with a classic color shoe. (black, white, silver, gold) but if your dress is a classic color try pairing it with a shoe that has a lot of color. When a girl wears a black dress with red pumps it looks classy and fun at the same time.

Jewelry Time for the glam! Choosing the right piece of jewelry is like choosing the right date. Most of the time, it takes time and hard work to find that perfect piece. Usually you should pick simple pieces because your dress is so beautiful. I really like this necklace from Emitations "Kathleen's Triple Open Heart Pendant"

Tiaras Tiaras are one of the things that will make you feel just like a princess on this perfect night. It's really easy to go overboard on the tiara. Try picking something simple that accents your dress. Here is a beautiful elegant flower tiara from Prom Girl that is sure to match almost any dress.

Shawls In some parts of the country it can get cold on prom night, but instead of bringing your puffy jacket try bringing a simple shawl it will kept your somewhat warm without getting in the way.

So go out and go shopping for the accessory to the perfect night and remember, stay true to you.
