Accessory Zune - A Little History
Zune refers to Microsoft Corporation's digital audio and video player. This nifty little device was released in the United States on November 14th, 2006. As of this writing, in May 2007, microsoft has reported that "several hundred thousand" of the units have been sold in the United States. The Zune plays music and videos and also displays other images. It also has a built-in FM tuner.
These features aside, the most unique feature of the Zune (and perhaps its most powerful as well) is its ability to share files wirelessly with other Zunes and via USB cables with the Xbox 360s. If you have a family of Zunes, this feature alone makes it worth so much more. The Microsoft Zune was created to compete with the Apple iPod and to a lesser degree, the Sony PSP.
Accessory Zune - A Little Background
The Zune is a very sturdy device and its case is made from rubberized plastic. All of the controls are mounted on the front and are easily grasped by fingers large and small. There is a very interesting inscription on the back of the Zune. The words "Hello from Seattle" is perhaps a taunt to the "Designed by Apple in California" inscription found on the back of the Apple iPod.
Anything released to a consumer in America needs choices, so the Zune is available in light black, pearl white and chocolate brown. There are also several limited editions available in a number of different colors, some even with artwork.
Accessory Zune - A Little Insight
OK, you've heard a little history and background about the Zune, but what about the most important Zune Accessory? Without a doubt, the most important thing you will need with your Zune is a reputable download resource. You see, your Zune can play music, videos and games ONLY if you have them downloaded into your Zune. Your Zune has a 30 MB hard disk installed, which is capable of storing hundreds of songs or full length feature films.
The challenge for any Zune owner becomes how to get all of those resources in a single, easy to use and reasonably priced place. I've done all the legwork for you! To see my #1 Recommended Zune Accessory download site, click here à http://www.squidoo.com/Accessory-Zune/
