If you are coming to central Illinois for an old town fashioned feel or looking to seek the delicious foods and attractions of Amish country, there are a couple of places for you to lodge in Arthur, Illinois. You can stay right inside the heart of Amish country and be near all of the sights and sounds that an old fashioned small town can bring you. Arthur's quote for their town states, " Where You're a Stranger Only Once."

For the visitors who are looking for a place with the look and feel of home, you can stay in the "Lil Cottage" that is located along the country side in Arthur, Illinois. It is a small cottage that offers a living room area, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The bedroom offers a queen sized bed, dresser and closet. The living area has a television, DVD player, recliner and sleeper sofa. The kitchen is complete with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, tableware, utensils, and paper towels. There are also plenty of linens and towels for you to use too. There are no pets, smoking, or alcohol allowed in the cottage. The Lil Cottage is near Arthur attractions such as Rockome Gardens and the Great Pumpkin Patch. It is also near shopping stores that offer Amish made crafts and foods, and antiques. Rates per night (as of 2010), are $70 for Sundays through Thursdays. Friday and Saturdays are $75/night. If you would like to stay a week in Arthur, you can purchase the package rate of $450.

Located in town along route 133 in Arthur is the Arthur Country Inn. Guests can expect cable television with HBO, wireless Internet and a complimentary Continental breakfast. The guest rooms are equipped with Amish crafted furniture.The Inn has sixteen rooms that have either Queen singles or two double beds. In some rooms there is also a refrigerator and a microwave. There is also a small outdoor seating area for anybody who would like to sit and enjoy the weather when its warm or get a chance to watch the horse and buggies trot on by. The inn is near Yoder's Country Kitchen, and near plenty of shopping areas, a gas station and local grocery store. The Arthur Country Inn prefers that you call at least seven days ahead of your preferred reservation date.

Other nearby towns close to Arthur, Illinois include Arcola, Tuscola, and Sullivan. All of these other towns are within ten to fifteen miles away and also have available lodging if you can't find a room directly inside of Arthur. So if you are planning for a stay for some old fashioned country living, plan it at least a week or two in advance so that you can make reservations at the Amish restaurants and the hotel or inn of your choice. Lodging areas of Arthur will do their best to make you feel like you've come home.
