AC/DC Fan's Guide to the New Album and Tour

Its been too long since AC/DC has been in the news like they are now (8 years to be precise). But now they are bigger than ever. With a new album on the way and a world tour, they cannot be ignored. I've followed the boys religiously since I was 11 (I am now 20) and I haven't taken a break from keeping up with all things AC/DC. This is a guide for you AC/DC fans for this upcoming Winter, and all things you need to know for the tour and album. If you are not die-hard like myself, you will be able to roll with the best of the after this.

Album News: I recall a statement some time ago saying that AC/DC fans won't have to wait 5 years for a new album like they did for Stiff Upper Lip (Ball Breaker was released in '95, Stiff Upper Lip in 2000). That was true, we had to wait 8 years, but I cannot be more excited. I've been tortured for years with rumors of a new album. Now it is official; Oct. 20, Black Ice will hit Wal-Mart selves. You got a taste of the new album when the first single, Rock n' Roll Train was aired on Aug. 27. I was so pumped to hear it, and it still hasn't gotten old. The video was recorded for this single earlier in Aug., and the video for has just been released. Check AC/DC's youtube channel to watch it.

Tour News: Soon after the album date was set, another juicy morsel was released: Their tour would start in Chicago on Oct. 31. How appropriate! It comes to me as no surprise that they start their tour in the North America. They've always had their biggest fan base in the States and Cananda. See tickets.acdc.com for the nearest location. Remember, this is the first leg of the tour. I would not be surprised to see them come back later in '09 to hit other spots. Are you ready for a good time?!
