17 Inch LCD Monitors

The Acer AL1716FB by most accounts appears to be a great monitor. With a 5ms response time this is probably th beginning edge of budget priced monitors that are gamer friendly. The picture is sharp, clear, and responsive. The monitor turns on fast so you won't be waiting for the tubes to warm up. If you are switching from a CRT monitor you will be pleasantly surprised by the larger viewing screen, (equivalent to most 19 inch CRT monitors), and with a wide angle 160 degree horizontal viewing angle you won't need o turn the screen so the person net to you can see it.

I did manage to find a couple of negative reviews on this monitor, One for a fuzzy or washed out picture which may or may not be related to the resolution they were trying to achieve or perhaps the lack of Cleartype installed on their computer, and the other negative appears to be a faulty monitor as it was creating a buzzing sound. All in all, the reviews on this monitor are excellent nd the price is right for a 17 inch LCD monitor.

All in all for a value line monitor the Acer AL1716FB is decent for the price. Click here to find out where to buy the Acer AL1716FB 17 inch LCD monitor

Note: Thank you for reading the Acer AL1716FB Review. LCD monitors left a lot to be desired when they first came out, CRT's were quick and responsive with great color. Today, LCD monitors have caught up with the demand for quick response time and brilliant colors, and this monitor is no exception. The price and quality of LCD monitors have now made them the monitor of choice for homes and small businesses and they are no longer only for the corporate scene. Another nice thing about LCD monitors is energy consumption with the typical CRT monitor drawing 75W or more, the typical LCD monitor draws about 35 Watts.
