When talking about Omaha, I would seldom hear people say that aces never win in Omaha, as if the card possesses some mystical power. Basically, pocket aces are two-card hands in a game wherein a five-card hand wins. Some people would regard aces as nothing special, and sometimes not even a part of the playable hand. Such as flopping a set, taking aces for granted will surely spell losing.

Aces have the tendency to take over good Omaha hands which simply connote Omaha hands having one ace in them. However, aces have a tough time dealing with scenarios wherein one or more random crapola hands are added to the mix. In such cases, it will be relatively easy for aces to take the worst in terms of post-flop betting, yet it would be faulty to generalize.

Players who like inviting trouble will surely end up in a trouble situation. It's not true that aces don't win but playing poorly without using one's brain and instinct will surely lead to trouble, and that is not a myth. All you have to do is to play efficiently and soon the myth will vanish. Also, knowing the fundamentals of the game can lead to clear and uncomplicated game-play and not one that is clouded by mythical ideas. Once you focus yourself into the true perspective of the game, then you might as well expect yourself to reign as winner. Never trust what myths tell you, since in most cases this can hamper your success. Learn to play the game like a pro and never trust talltales, as in the end it is your choices that will determine your fate and whether or not you lose.
