Acne that Causes Scarring

VOffie
Acne that can cause scarring in men and women is usually due to the fact that it is a breakout that is left untreated. However, this is not always the case, and excessive scratching of the acne lesions can also cause scarring. Obviously, by scratching at acne lesions they will heal at a much slower rate than if left alone. If an individual has an acne breakout that is bad enough this will also lead to scarring at times. This normally occurs in teenagers and young adults. It is also due in part that the body has a chemical imbalance and as teenagers the body is ever changing.

Some skin types include, sensitive, oily, dry, chaffed, as well as others. In essence, however, all these skin types are prone to acne and there are several different treatments available that can help prevent recent breakouts. Which of course, will deter scarring from acne. Unfortunately, eight out of ten individual experience acne breakouts and this is considered a form of skin disease although not contagious. Severe acne cases are usually those that cause scarring however it is not impossible to have acne scarring in light cases either.
