Acne Rosacea Laser Treatments

Acne rosacea laser treatment is the one which is gaining more popularity nowadays. Even though there are different types of acne like acne vulgaris both mild and severe, acne conglobata, acne fulminans, gram negative folliculitis, and pyoderma faciale etc, acne rosacea is the one, which needs different treatment for getting cured. The acne rosacea disorder is more common in females but at the same time is more severe in males.

Acne rosacea is a skin disorder that normally occurs over 30 years of age and is also referred as adult acne. Initially, it starts to appear as red rash in the face especially on the cheeks, forehead, chin, nose etc. Later, this redness will develop to pimples or swelling or form marks in the skin. The prominent blood vessels can be noticed in the skin. Unlike acne vulgaris one cannot find black heads in the acne rosacea. If it is left untreated, a condition called rhinophyma will result. Both the acne vulgaris and acne rosacea will have the symptoms that are similar and may be usually confusing. It may necessitate undergoing acne rosacea laser treatment for treating real acne rosacea.

There are different types of acne rosacea, which are erythematotelangiectatic roseacea, papulopustular rosacea, phymatous rosacea, ocular rosacea and neuropathic rosacea. Since the symptoms are not easy to identify, it is better for the one, who is suspicious to consult a dermatologist, who may suggest acne rosacea laser treatment. Before trying the treatment, you may want to experiment with using a sun screen that prevents UVA and UVB, which will help to protect the skin from acne rosacea.

There are certain factors that aggravate the condition, which are: Emotional causes like anxiety, concentration, stress, laughing etc; Environmental causes which include cold climate, sun, and wind; medical causes, such as the use of certain medicines, including birth control pills; Food, including large meals, spicy food, alcoholic or hot beverages; Physical causes which may be migraines, exertion, or pain; and some drugs that induce vasodilatation and topical application of certain moisturizers or exfoliating agents etc.

These factors may aggravate the disease condition and may result in the need of acne rosacea laser treatment.

Treating acne rosacea is difficult to treat due to several reasons. It is not identified easily. As the skins reactivity increases and so any treatment may be irritating. There are some treatments available which are available over-the counter while some others are prescription only treatments. Avoiding the causative agents for acne rosacea may help to minimize the problem. Lastly acne rosacea laser treatment is found to be more effective. Since the other treatments said before may act to cure some of the symptoms only. Intense pulsed light or IPL is an effective treatment for a long run.
