AcneFree Product Review

Can it Rid Your Acne?

~Addie~
What is acne? Why is it that some of us can have great skin while others suffer from acne for years? I once thought that acne was something that occurred during your teenaged years, but come to find out acne can affect you well into adulthood.

Acne occurs when oil and dead skin cells become trapped within the hair follicle, creating a plug inside of the pore. The plug of dead cells and oil is called a comedo. Blackheads and whiteheads are examples of non-inflamed comedones. Acne is a pretty complex problem, that is still being studied each day. It is unfortunate that there is no cure, but there are many treatment options available for those who suffer from acne. Although it takes time and patience when it comes to acne, most cases of acne can be controlled successfully.

We have all heard of, if not tired, Proactiv Solutions, the product that is endorsed by celebrities such as Jessica Simpson, Vanessa Williams and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Now there is a product that claims to be significantly better than Proactiv and it is AcneFree Treatment System. Similar to Proactiv, AcneFree has a 3-step system that includes its purifying cleanser, this is an oil-free antibacterial cleansing wash that gently exfoliates dead skin cells, unclogs pores and eliminates bacteria. It consists of 2.25% of benzoyl peroxide as it's active ingredient. The cleanser is easy to dispense and use and is labled as step one in the 3-step process for easy use.
The next step is the renewing toner. This clear toner gently removes dead skin cells and excess surface oil and leaves skin perfectly toned, refreshed and brings it back a normal pH balance. It comes in a bottle which is easy to squeeze to a cotton pad to be applied onto your face and doesn't have a super strong scent. The last step is the Repairing lotion, this is a fast working acne treatment medication that penetrates the pores to dry up blackheads and blemishes and helps clear any existing acne. The time-release benzoyl peroxide formula provides all day oil control and works 24/7 to keep pores clean and free from break outs.

AcneFree works well, in my opinion. My experience in using AcneFree has been well. I noticed changes to my skins appearance and feel with in a week of using AcneFree. Within one month of using the AcneFree treatment system, I had very few if any breakouts and my skin looked nice and toned. I did see a reduction in pore size as well. Due to the large amounts of benzoyl peroxide in AcneFree, people with sensitive skin should not use it two times daily as it recommended so that excessive drying won't occur. The repairing lotion isn't like lotion at all. It is a bit thick and doesn't smear well. I do not use the repairing lotion in the morning because it doesn't rub in all the way, when I put my make up over it the make up tends to looks a bit flaky. I don't see where skipping out on the morning application of the repairing lotion has affected my treatment.

AcneFree can be purchased at your local drug store, Target and Walmart. AcneFree runs anywhere from $12.99 to $18.99 depending on the store you make your purchase at. AcneFree is well worth the small investment if you suffer from acne problems.

Well, if you have been using ProActiv ,why not try AcneFree which is more effective and cheaper?
