ACORN Case

I Still Say Who is the Nutty One

Debra Paulsen
I write this little opinion piece as I am preparing to rush out the door. I am so outraged by the biased coverage ( no surprise) by main stream media of the ACORN voter registration fraud scandal. Number one it is not even voter fraud, voter fraud is when you show up at the polls and try to use the fake registration name. ACORN is following legal guidelines set forth. Every card filled out no matter how wacky must be turned in. The fact that the wacks filling out these absurd names, and registering multiple times are showing up is proof the spin the MSM's are putting on it are puffed up baloney.

As stated by Law ACORN can not throw away any registration cards, no matter how silly, all must be turned in. Furthermore the majority of the incidents in question were brought to light for revue and questioning by ACORN. Why does the MSM continue to play it like a dramatic scandal that has gone on for years across many states breaking news event? Of course to tamp down lower and middle class voter registration turn out. I will comment further on this matter at a later date. But I for one always feel the need to examine the news that the MSM's, break not for their quality of journalism, but to find the angle for what they are attempting to manipulate. In this case, it is obvious someone is concerned that the lower income and middle class bracket might actually be mad enough to vote en masse this election.

  • Voter Fraud? The MSM's do not even have the charges investigated accurate
Who would benefit if suddenly scores of low and middle income votes were discounted while an investigation is pending ?

Latest update FBI called in. No mention that it is ACORN they are opening a case against.
Will my conspiracy story grow legs and run?

You can't be serious. No, they might not be able to throw them away but they could have looked at them and said, we have a problem. But, you can't be serious that this is not newsworthy.

Some of the coverage has been fair, just stating that complaints have been raised and not going into the ridiculous extremes by somehow implying ACORN volunteers sought fraud. I have read some stories that inferred unpaid volunteers were actually PAYING people to register - which is the most ridiculous of all. Obvously, most of America doesn't know how voter registration is done (ever been hounded out in front of Target? - those folks get PAID to register you and they do not have to validate your identity - that is done AFTER the cards are filed). Obvously some of the media covering this story believe the general public is very ignorant and very gullible. Good story.
