Acrostic Challenge Accepted

Thomas Cleveland Lane
The somewhat heralded acrostic poet, Jennifer Wagner, issued a challenge to her readership to come up with an acrostic poem for the season to match the excellent piece she composed on December 12th. All right, then, here goes:

Busy rushing here and there
And for what or for to where?
Happy New Year, so they say.

Happy wait in line all day.
Ulp, I guess my Christmas joy's
Missing there among the toys,
Bought for ransom of a king,
Underneath a tree to fling.
Gosh, what else did Santa bring?

Whoa, kudos to you-dos! Acrostics don't gotta rhyme, but you took the time. I'm impressed, not stressed, and I think this one's the best!

I did one too but I'm not publishing it because, quite frankly, it stinks.
