AC's Best of Christmas Poetry

Beth Inman
Our Christmas Gift reminds us of the perfect Christmas gift. A short, simple poem, reminds us of the story of Christmas.

I think I probably read every Christmas poem on AC in my preparation of this article. In doing so I came across a poem by a fairly new author here at AC. His name is Daniel Sparks and his telling of the Christmas story is perhaps the most profound rendition I have read. This Christmas War is one you will read more than once...I did.

This wonderful collection of Children's Christmas Poems by Lenora Murdock highlights Christmas through the eyes of a child.

Charlene S Noto tells a wonderful Christmas story with her poem titled Christmas Poems: The Secret Gift. She reminds us of the sights, sounds and smells of Christmas. Sweet and nostalgic.

Khara House has put together a great collection of Christmas poems for us. A Children's Christmas is a collection of 3 poems for families and children.

Some are alone on Christmas day. Tabitha Blades captures that feeling of loneliness with Christmas Poems - Holidays Without You

Married Kristmet Elvyr writes a joyful piece, Christmas Poetry: Love Love Love All the wonderful things of Christmas can be found in a few short verses but you know that the boy she loves...is far away.

Christmas Deception, written by J. Ellen Fedder, compares Christmas traditions and Christmas Truths.

Lisa Tomes shares with us The Christmas Story. another new author with a great talent!

Teresa Laskey has given us a great lighthearted poem about Christmas with her poem, The Wonderful Times of the Christmas Season

    Christmas approaches too quickly
    Desert sunrise too pale
Lizards slowly climb along the neon
    Waiting to crawl inside

No stockings hang along the sidewalk
    For the wildlife
Litter gives holiday colors to concrete
    Red, green and more
