AC's Top 10 Political Blogs of 2006

Don Lee
I'm new to AC, but I have gone back and read lots of political comments and these are the ten best I have read.

AC TOP TEN, NUMBER 10

"John Kerry, both feet in his mouth again" by S.L. Bradish

Bradish wrote about John Kerry's goof of saying that if you don't do well in school, you can wind up stuck in Iraq. S. L. Bradish points out that Kerry has no room to talk and manages to embarrass himself every time he speaks. It's a good article and the comments are quite interesting as well.

AC TOP TEN, NUMBER 9

"Strategy for Iraq: A Two State Idea" by Greg Reeson

Reeson explains the pros and cons of having Iraq divided into two states. The article is quite long, but covers all the pertinent information. Very few comments on this one.

AC TOP TEN, NUMBER 8

"News Flash: We're Not Going to Invade Aruba" by JJ Jackson.

Jackson explains in detail what the founding fathers had in mind when this country began and why we should follow their lead... up to a point. Some of the founders wanted freedom only for ourselves while merely wanting to "wish luck" to others who wanted to be free. Lots of comments, both for and against his thinking.

AC TOP TEN, NUMBER 7

"ISRAEL AGAINST THE WORLD" by Youranter

Youranter explains his take on the situation in Israel and why the terrorists keep attacking. His logic is clear and reasonable. Lots of anti-Semitic remarks in the Comment section. Mostly by people who don't like Israel and try to defend the terrorists.

AC TOP TEN, NUMBER 6

"VETERAN'S DAY 2006: Veteran's Day in Colorado Springs, Colorado" by Donna Schoenrock

Mrs. Schoenrock tells of attending the Veteran's Day Parade in Colorado Springs, Co. Her account of the emotions and sights of the parade are very touching and well worth reading. Most of the comments are positive.

AC TOP TEN, NUMBER 5

"John Kerry's 'Bad Joke' About the Military: Where the real dummies end up." By Rond Drew

Drew explains who the loudest voices belong to in the dissing of our country. He tells you the names and educational levels of the celebrities who make the most noise. The question arises, "Why should anyone listen to these bozos?" The comments vary from agreement to violent opposition.

AC TOP TEN, NUMBER 4

"POLITICAL SCANDAL TO SWAY VOTES: Democrat Scandals Gay and Otherwise" by S.L. Bradish

Bradish explains the multitude of scandals that have rocked the Democrat party over the last many years and how they seem to "find" scandals to create problems for Republican candidates when an election nears. Even if all the Republican scandals would hold water, Bradish sites chapter and verse of legitimate scandals on the Dem. side. The comments are hot from both sides.

AC TOP TEN, NUMBER 3

"What Motivates Liberal Democrats: It's cool to hate President Bush, Republicans, Christians and Wal Mart" by Rond Drew

Drew explains the motivation of the usual democrat rhetoric. Their need for acceptance and being part of the cool crowd. It's a long article, but well worth the read. You'll learn what is considered "cool and hip" by the liberals. The comments are mostly good and positive, with some notable exceptions.

AC TOP TEN, NUMBER 2

"HERE COMES THE NEBBY GOVERNMENT AGAIN" by: JJ Jackson

Jackson explains the reality about global warming and the fear-mongering by the environmentalist left. He doesn't discount personal responsibility for every one of us to keep out little corners of the world clean, but not because we caused global warming. Because it is the right thing to do. There are only two comments on this fine article.

AC TOP TEN, NUMBER 1

"TERRORISTS: They're Still Among Us" by: Youranter.

In this article, Youranter names names and tells about the dangers of assuming the terrorists are all gone or in the Middle East. He specifically tells of the dangers of the terrorists that pass us by on the streets, unknown to us and as deadly as the 911 high jackers. The comments range from the ridiculous terrorist lovers and peace nicks to high praise for telling it like it is.

If, in the course of this writing, I have neglected a good article that I didn't see, I apologize. There was no way to read them all. To the aforementioned authors, my thanks for your talents and opinions. You make the world a better place.
